Job Description

As a Contract Senior Demand Planner at KIOXIA America Inc., you will own the demand forecasting process for a high-growth data center (hyperscale) customer. In this highly collaborative, customer-facing role, you will act as the critical operational link between the customer, internal stakeholders, and KIOXIA headquarters in Tokyo. This position requires an analytical expert who understands the unique buying behaviors, long lead times, and qualification cycles inherent to data center hyperscale’s and/or OEM customers, and who can comfortably lead external, customer-centric forecasting discussions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Planning & Forecast Ownership: Manage a rolling 12-month SKU level demand forecast, accounting for customer build schedules and cloud deployment timelines.
  • Customer-Facing Collaboration: Lead regular demand alignment meetings directly with key customers, reviewing supply plans to synchronize demand signals with supply realities.
  • Cross-Functional S&OP Alignment: Partner directly with the Tokyo headquarters team in weekly planning sessions. Clearly communicate shifting demand patterns, align on supply plans, and actively track and resolve customer related action items.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage demand forecasting for New Product Introductions (NPI) and End-of-Life (EOL) transitions to prevent inventory write-offs or supply gaps.
  • Metrics & Inventory Analytics: Track and improve forecast accuracy metrics (MAPE/Bias) and key inventory metrics ending on hand (EOH), days of supply (DOS) targets, as well as aging inventory disposition plans.
  • Process Analysis. Identify opportunities for continuous improvements to business processes and drive root cause/corrective actions to improve business performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related business experience.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in customer-facing demand planning, supply chain, procurement, or account management desired, data center/semiconductor industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience utilizing enterprise forecasting software (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle, Kinaxis).
  • Strong understanding of data center customer dynamics, supply chain lead times, and components is a plus.
  • Enterprise storage (SSD/HDD), Data Center hardware, or semiconductor experience a strong plus
